Hi, I'm Sammie. I love music, I'm easily distracted (especially by shiny things) and I'm a geek. My hair changes colour at a whim. I'm married with four children. I love to read. I'm fascinated by space travel. I knit stuff. I'm a Christian. I'm interested in politics, generally Green, though sometimes I don't have the energy to deal with it. I care about social justice. I'm a cis woman, and I like people to use female pronouns for me. I studied music at university, used to work as a recruitment consultant and am now a stay-at-home/home-schooling mum

My favorite things are music, ethnomusicology, board games, travel, learning new things, meeting new people and football.
My fandoms are Doctor Who, Game Of Thrones, His Dark Materials, A Wrinkle In Time, Marvel movies, & The Walking Dead.

I am bipolar. This does not define me, but it is a huge part of who I am and how I address the world. I try to be as open about this as I can, as I thinking hiding the disease does more harm than good.

I love my family. Fiercely. I am the middle of five kids, and I tend to talk about my family a lot. Whether it's the awesome things they've done, my love of my husband and children, my love of my nieces and nephews, or how much they piss me off... I usually don't hold back.
